Banking when poor...

Rating:
Category:Other
I would like to formally thank Chase/Wamu for taking my rent money out of one account to catch up my overdraft account.

I am starting to think that when one is living on the bare minimum, one needs not have a bank account.

  1. I'm sure not having the account would solve one problem, but cause another set of problems

  2. Girl, you bank with them too! I've had that happen a time or two. I'll be glad when they get this transition together. Because as it stands, they have closed many Wamu branches which forces you to visit a Chase, but they don't accept Wamu deposits yet?!!! WTF!

The only recourse I have is to visit a Wamu that is out the way.

  10. i pay cash for as much as i can
i have 4 accounts, only 2 are linked. i dont keep my neccessary money in the account with the debit card so it its stolen or i have an overdraft i wont find the rent or light money GONE

and if ur having an overdraft problem, dont use checks or a debit card for a while. pay cash and money orders.

  11. Open another account with another institution. I have my bills paid from my US Bank account & my mad/fun money is in a credit union account & both have overdraft protection.

  14. Overdraft protection is what is killing me. I would just as soon get declined.

  15. An account at another institution might be your answer.

If you have direct deposit of your payhecks it can be split.
