  1. Some people like to Lurk, that is the best I can tell you.

  2. I do it because sometimes I just pop in to see if I have any messages because Multiply does not send me email. I don't want anyone to say you were on but you didn't read my blog.

  3. I'd be one of those people.

But it ain't much lurkin' because you can see the name and the big ass picture down the bottom of the screen.

  4. I noticed that too. With the new Ply I also dont recieve emails.

    ReplyDelete
  5. You can hide your status on Ply? Hmmmmmm.......

    ReplyDelete
  6. So TRUE and I love Multiply for that. LOL

  7. I don't see the point in it. Seems like one who loves to lurk, to me. And when you can look at a post without the person even knowing it....that's why I left yahoo 360 smh

  8. I only hide my status because I don't like getting the IM chats on certain websites

    ReplyDelete
  9. I dont get messages from Multiply and so I come in like Peaches to check my messages..and I too feel like I dont wont people to think that I havent read something that they wanted me too..
for the most part I like it like that!

  10. No answer to the question. Just lurkin..... Dont tell no one I was here

  12. I nvr hide my online status. I jus lurk & let u see me lurking. Sometimes I lurk yall pages nekkid!

    ReplyDelete
  13. i dont remember to hide my status, then ppl think i am here because i leave the page open

    ReplyDelete
  14. Some people just don't wanna be bothered. Also, there might be someone online-stalking them (ESPECIALLY if they are obsessed with them or have beef with them and trying to get at them).

    ReplyDelete
  15. because its not always convenient for me to talk to people when they want to talk to me.
    because i want to.
    because I CAN!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I ain't about to reply to everybody's messages, just one big message cuz I'sss feeling lazy at the moment! LMAO

First, I do not know how to hide the fact that I have appeared on someone's page while signed into Multiply. and really I don't really care to hide it (not anymore anyway but that is a loooong story) because it defeats the purpose of dialoging online and sharing one's point of view with others on the site.

Second, you can go into your account setting to change your email alerts. Multiply still offers it. I recently turned my alerts off cuz it was getting in the way of seeing if I have job replies.

Third, I was speaking on how on Multiply, again in your account settings, you can hide showing people you are online.

Fourth, so you can, and???? LMAOOOO

Fifth, if you don't want to talk to them, why are they on your list?

Sixth, if I post something so you can see it, feel free to say what you want, as long as it is not BLATANTLY disrespectful.

Seventh, you all are FOOLISH! LMAOO

Eighth, well, I am just numbering cuz it got fun. LMAOOO

Finally, I understand sometimes wanting to be invisible cuz you are in and out or doing something else or when you are in a quiet mode. But I don't understand those who are always invisible or unavailable. they can only see you and you can never see them. you only talk to them only when they want to talk to you, and that is unfair and generally just not nice. That is the equivalent of a one-sided friendship if you ask me, IMHO.

  17. When people pop up on me invisible, I don't reply.

    ReplyDelete
  18. i got a question... so, can you see me at the bottom of this page? cuz, i'm invisible, but i was under the impression that folks could still see me...

    ReplyDelete
  19. also, i think invisible works for the folks who really don't have anything to say... some folks get all emotional and shit when you stop by there spot and you don't leave a message... every blog, or every note doesn't warrant a comment...

I've been invisible for months! mainly because i like magic tricks lol...

    ReplyDelete
  20. i never did understand this sentiment. really I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  21. yes, i can see you at the bottom of the page. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  22. just because thats what YOU THINK... doesnt make it so!
just because it doesnt make sense to YOU... doesnt mean it is senseless.
people are different... if their differentness bugs you, why are THEY on YOUR friends list?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I just wanna know how to hide your status and how to see other statuses... some of us newbies would like to know this stuff...

    ReplyDelete
  24. and just because a lot of people agree with your thinking doesnt make you right either.

    ReplyDelete
  25. All I know is that Im posting this comment nekkid!

    ReplyDelete
  26. -------------------------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.. this way------------------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  27. Differences doesn't bother me, and that wasn't the point of the discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  28. lol shut up stiffy lolololol
and fer christ sakes put sum pants on!

  29. I am in TOTAL concurrence with you on THIS one. Kinda makes them look like ASSHOLES. They PISS me OFF when they do that shit, TOO! X(

WTF, MAN?!?!?! X( *throwin' shit across the room and breakin' it*

    ReplyDelete
  30. To be HONEST with you, Mz. Teal,...that IS kinda ANNOYING. Kinda makes me think that they are only LOOKING to see if what you've posted is a NEGATIVE post.

    ReplyDelete
  31. AGAIN, I am in TOTAL concurrence with you on THIS one.

    ReplyDelete
  32. But AREN'T you doing the same thing when you ignore them while you're invisible? :-/

    ReplyDelete
  33. WEEEEEEEEEE HOOOOOOOOO!!

    ( * ) ( * )

    lolol
    as if! :-P

  34. i'm usually invisible. i cant take the time to talk to everybody at once, when i get on yahoo or something i get like 10 ppl at once. so i stay invisible and talkto one person at a time normally. usually i aint even here

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jeff, i don't care what they think! seriosuly, i don't... all that matters is what "I" think... if i read a post, that warrants a comment, I comment accordingly, however if i have to conjure up a comment, then it's not a genuine comment...

with that said... would you like a heart felt comment, or a bullshit comment? most would prefer a genuine comment...

Saki says it best, if they ain't feeding me, fucking me, or financing me... i don't care! and that may sound harsh, but the reality is that i do this for ME, no one else...

in closing, i could write a hundred blogs and not get one comment... lurkers can lurk about and that's fine... the bottom line is that i released my shit and decided to share what's on my mind... some will agree and others will disagree...

    ReplyDelete
  36. on one final note... i got too much real time shit that i'm dealin with to get caught up in the net shit...

    ReplyDelete
  37. on a more serious note... i tend to be invisible on messenger because i get a lot of fools, who want to hit me with CAN I FUCK YOU! who has time for that? come correct, or don't come at all... since they can't come correct i choose to make myself invisible, i chat with who i choose to chat with, i don't let people choose to chat with me...

it's too much foolishness on the net... and even more foolishness via chat... so invisible it is...

    ReplyDelete
  38. I DO prefer a genuine comment. But again, I notice that the ONLY time certain people look at my blogs and either say anything or don't say anything at all is if a certain blog is either a controversial one or a venting blog. Kinda looks like they are trying to find "dirt" on me or ANY REASON to use my information AGAINST me.

And TRUST me when I say THIS: THEIR INTENTIONS ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL.

    ReplyDelete
  39. in closing... why do you care? negative or positive... do their opinions matter? will it make you delete the post if they feel it's negative?

ps., i hope that i'm not coming off as confrontational as that is not my intention... i'm just trying to make a point! i honestly feel that some of y'all care way too much! it's the net... we don't know these people form adams house cat... and that's REAL TALK!

    ReplyDelete
  40. then rid yourself of those people! seriously, it's NOT WORTH IT...

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's obvious that people like to spread rumors about other people, thus me not trusting almost ANYONE.

    ReplyDelete
  42. i respect that... it's the net, save your trust for people in real time... folks that you know beyond a screen...

for those people who spread those rumors, how small minded of them! i say we as a collective whole need to stop giving them an audience... as long as we comment and feed into the rumors we are giving them a stage...

i say pity them, and keep it moving! who needs negative energy when we got bills to pay?

  43. I'm on invisible on my yahoo pager but that's only because I've added people on impulse and then don't want anything to do with them. Just because I delete them from my pager doesn't mean they've deleted me, and if I can't see them anymore then I don't want them seeing me. I have all my friends on "Show online" in my stealth settings.

If Multiply hides your status, I didn't even know you could do that but in all honesty I didn't care enough to look and I never will.

  44. Sometimes when I log on, I don't want to be bothered. If you'd even been connected to a bug-a-boo, then you'd understand. As soon as your light comes on, here they come. The ignore option doesn't always work either.

In a perfect world when we deleted someone from our list, we should be removed from theirs, but that's wishful thinking at this point.

When I 1st started using IM back in 2000, I was still green & was inclined to add anyone who sent a request. I know better now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @MS MO: if you click on each person name, then go into your stealth setting in the little drop down box that appears, you can make yourself appear invisible to them before you delete them.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sometimes people don't have anything to say. If I get on a blog, read it and EVERYTHING to be said on it has been said, and I agree with all /most points, sometimes I don't feel like putting 'i agree'. Sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't.
There's no malice intended, and Idont' spend my time worrying about the topic of the blog once I'm gone.
people read too much into stuff.
Getting upset because someone doesn't leave a comment on a blog is just plain ridiculous.

And not all people who 'lurk' have bad intentions. Sometimes you really don't have anything to say, but are interested in reading the topic.

I think people spend WAY too much time overthinking things like that.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you!!! I use stealth but never considered that technique.
