My Prof is Nuts!!!!

Sooooooooo, we had this exam last night...

Well, let me tell you about the first one with the nutty professor.  The class is Intro to Criminology.  This is like a sociology class for criminals.  There are so many names and theories to the causation of crime. There are 6 of us in class.  We all fundamentally failed the test.  The highest score was a 70 and I was second with a 67.  75 multiple choice, 4 essays.  OK.  He curved the test and added 20 points to our exams.

Fast forward to yesterdays exam.  35 multiple choice, 25 fill in the blank! Whaaaaaaaa????  Oh, and he made the test 50 percent names!  The two names I remember was Lombroso and Becarria!! WTF??? We all sat there and just looked around.  After the exam, we looked at the key, I got 2 right, another girl got 4 right, the other girl didn't have any right, I don't know how the guys did, but they were tripping too.

Now in my other 2 criminal justice classes, I am getting scores in the 90s, so I know it ain't me! WTF is up with profs like him? You cant take notes off of his lectures.  He talks so damn fast. He doesn't use the blackboard. It is like he knows so much information that he just can't teach it.  He teaches it one way and then words it completely different on the test!!!

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Oh well, looks like Imma finish out with 2As and a D!

  2. Yesss, he says he pulls the hardest question from the test bank. We would have to memorize EVERYTHING in the book. A book that reads like a DAMN ENCYCLOPEDIA!!!! You would seriously have to be one of those people who could read the book and subsequently memorize everything in the chapter. SERIOUSLY.

  3. There is no getting the big picture, you have to memorize everything, from definitions, dates AND ALL NAMES and when I said that to him in class he was like that should be apart of general absorbing of the material.

  4. U need to complain to somebody...ASAP...especially if everybody in the class is doing bad. I had a financial acct prof that was the same way only thing is..he knew we werent doing well and still passed the entire class with nothing lower than a C

  20. Oh, and I forgot to mention this part. He added a chapter that we weren't suppose to get until the next test and when he protested, his answer was that we should have read it for lecture today, yanno, the lecture we get BEFORE the test on new material so that we are totally fucked up?

  23. He is extremely tough (and a little crazy) but he is a brilliant prof. He knows his shit. I have never learned more from another professor (besides his wife). He does need to remember that, while these ARE 300 level courses, they are NOT grad level courses. There are no prereqs, so a college freshman with no experience can take them. He forgets that.
