Personally, I think he's an asshole and he shouldn't be allowed to go back to pro football.
Whether he likes it or not, he is a role model for young children and he acknowledges it in his apology, so he's a smart asshole.
You (and by you, I don't mean "you", I mean people in general) wouldn't let your kids around someone who was mean to animals. You'd think there was something wrong with a person who abuses and kills animals and you wouldn't want your child to be influenced by someone who did that sort of thing - because it's wrong. If it wasn't wrong, there wouldn't be laws about it. So why should he return to a sport that induces children to look to him as a role model (again) when clearly, he's not a hero - and kids look up to these sportspeople like they're heroes.
The only sport he should be allowed to play is dogfighting, but not as the organiser, I meant as a contender.
I think he's had the fit amount of punishment (broke as hell...ruined reputation...lost income...jail time etc.) and should be able to take the plea and come back to football...
A man should not have his livelihood taken away because he made an ignorant mistake...he was wrong with what he did...he has been ostracized and criticized...
Enough...(and I have had NO problem with the punishment he has received)
